Research Interests
My primary research interests lie at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Healthcare, Agriculture and Applied Data Science. I am particularly focused on:
- AI and Machine Learning Applications in agriculture, healthcare, and education
- Image Classification and Computer Vision, particularly in plant disease detection, thermal imaging, and human body estimation
- Data Visualization and Analytics, using tools like Power BI to make AI outputs accessible and actionable
- Digital Pedagogy, including the design of e-learning content, video-based learning, and data-informed teaching strategies
- Natural Language Processing (NLP) for decision-support systems
Additionally, I am actively involved in the development of interactive learning materials—including e-courses and e-books—across diverse disciplines such as Computing, Data Science, Ethics, and Project Management.
Research Funded Projects
Principal Investigator, University of Mumbai Minor Research Grant
Project Title: Detection and Classification of Diseased Plants
Duration: 2017–2018
Served as a Principal Investigator on a University of Mumbai-funded Minor Research Project focused on the Detection and Classification of Diseased Plants. The project involved the design and development of an IoT-based system that integrated various environmental and biological sensors for real-time monitoring of plant health.
Co- Investigator, University of Mumbai Minor Research Grant
Project Title: Plant Disease Detection Using Sensors
Duration: 2018–2019
Served as the Co-Investigator on a University of Mumbai-funded Minor Research Project titled Plant Disease Detection Using Sensors. The project explored the use of thermal imaging technology and environmental sensing for early detection of water stress and disease symptoms in plants.
